After 5 weeks of rest and conservative management he underwent surgery on the 25th April.
Follow his journey with me from Pre Surgery, through surgery and to Rehab and hopefully recovery.

Kinesiology Taping In Dogs
Kinesiology Tape is a sticky tape, kinda like a plaster, that is breathable and stretchy. This makes it perfect for use in therapy as we can alter the stretch of the tape to give us different effects on the body.

Why You Need a Mobile Vet Physio
Why am I a mobile Vet Physio?
Dogs are more relaxed in their own home so I get a better feel of their muscles and can identify tension that is often missed in a clinicÂ
Perfect for disabled dogs or those unable to travelÂ
Less stressful for fearful, anxious or reactive dogsÂ

Rest days, are you missing a trick?
Some people refer to rest days as a day of doing nothing, no exercise at all but I prefer to think of rest days as taking time to recover. That may be complete rest and no exercise if that suits you and your dog but equally it could just be less exercise, less intense exercise or a different type of exercise. Â

Day in the life of a vet physio at the NARCH conference 2023
This training's aim is to help improve our dog's confidence and to build a better relationship with them, but don’t worry it doesn’t take long, only a few mins at a time. Some of my favorite ideas from this session were to use a sensory/balance pathway in young/healthy dogs to challenge their confidence and spatial awareness. Another of my favorites is the 2 FL paws on stance which helps dogs change state.

Working dogs, Pain, Behaviour and Stem Cells
Pain is only recognised as pain once it reaches the brain but to get there first we have nociception (the nerves at the site of injury) these signals are then transduced and transmitted to the spinal cord and to the brain where they are modulated, projected and perceived.
