Kinesiology Taping In Dogs
Kinesiology Tape is a sticky tape, kinda like a plaster, that is breathable and stretchy. This makes it perfect for use in therapy as we can alter the stretch of the tape to give us different effects on the body.

Rest days, are you missing a trick?
Some people refer to rest days as a day of doing nothing, no exercise at all but I prefer to think of rest days as taking time to recover. That may be complete rest and no exercise if that suits you and your dog but equally it could just be less exercise, less intense exercise or a different type of exercise. Â

Stop throwing the ball and try these 3 activities instead to really please your dog
Dog’s love to chase balls but it’s not the best for their joints or for mental stimulation. Ball throwing, although it doesn’t look it, can be very stressful for our dogs both physically and mentally. Â

Day in the life of a vet physio at the NARCH conference 2023
This training's aim is to help improve our dog's confidence and to build a better relationship with them, but don’t worry it doesn’t take long, only a few mins at a time. Some of my favorite ideas from this session were to use a sensory/balance pathway in young/healthy dogs to challenge their confidence and spatial awareness. Another of my favorites is the 2 FL paws on stance which helps dogs change state.

Can I do more to prevent common injuries in my dog?
As dedicated dog owners we often put a lot of pressure on ourselves to try to predict what our dogs will do and prevent them from getting hurt. But it's not always possible to stop our dogs doing silly things but it is sometimes possible to make simple changes to our and our dogs lives to help prevent some common dog injuries that I often see as a vet physio.

Will my dog’s vet physio judge me?
I am all about no judgment support for dog owners to give you peace of mind that your dogs are set up for a long and happy life.
But I know that it can be challenging to ask for help or even to admit to ourselves that we need help without pets' health and fitness.

Winter fitness plans for agility dogs
Maintaining our dog's core strength even through a break will give us a quicker recovery time as we transition into getting back to full training and competition. My favourite core exercises that are dead easy to keep up with are slow lead walking and weight shifting.
